This week for character design I'm going to be working on Vahko, a hot-headed Hawaiian anarchist. From the concept art I have developed a low poly of about 8k as a base mesh. From there I am now trying to figure a good facial structure for a stylized look. I real yet cartoony feel, like this reference from Brink. ::::::::::::::: I'm publishing this all in one night because, to be honest, I'm a bit of a slacker (New Years Resolution is to work on that btw)
My task for the Game is to model the characters out. 8 characters in a goal of about 11 weeks.. Should be a cake walk. This is the secretary. Work in progress. ::::::::::::::::::::: So what we have what is the start to our Game which includes main start screen, character select, and basic mechanics. Cool, So far we are on a solid start. Hopefully, all that needs to be done is to polish the hell out of this thing and make it look less like a piece of crap. ::::::::::::::::::::: To start. K.I.N.E.S.I.S is being constructed using Unity 3.5.6 and programmed in C#. We are Projecting it for the Xbox Live Market for our arcade fighting aficionados. Currently we're 3 months into production and I want to be able to finish this game by the end of 2013.
We have been a 2-3 man team for the first 3 months of this project and now that we have a footing within the competition we have been able to round up 5 more project artists (Ashwin, Matt, Marina, Paz, & Pedro). Totaling out at 7 team members. After this first week I want to be able to asses the team and see if we can get that nice pipeline to match //K.I.N.E.S.I.S So this is the start to my first Development Blog and it's for K.I.N.E.S.I.S. Reese Crear, the Game Wizards Programmers, and Myself have successfully have started production of our first Titled Video Game.
